Before coming to Nolan, Principal Barker was the principal of our sister
elementary school, Thrasher Elementary, for six years.

THIRD GRADE TEACHERS
| Sherry
Johnston has been teaching since 1993. A graduate of Austin Peay
State University, she began her career as a fourth grade teacher.
She taught for eight years before making her way to Signal Mountain.
In Clarksville, she was honored with the Green Apple Award for Outstanding
Teachers. Mrs. Johnston is a native of Connecticut where she met
and married her husband. She has two daughters who both dance competitively.
Mrs. Johnston loves to cook and visit her family in New England.
She feels blessed to be working at Nolan Elementary. She can be

Sue Garry has worked at Nolan since 2000. She was an Assistant for
two years before returning to the classroom as a third grade teacher.
Prior experience is in Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades. This
includes years in Hamilton County, Maryland, and Texas. Sue enjoys
living on Signal Mountain, the professional camaderie of the Nolan
staff, the amazing parent volunteers, and the wonderful children
she is privileged to teach. She is married to Bill and has two sons,

| Mrs.
Leary has been teaching at Nolan Elementary since 2002. She has
taught fourth, first, and third grades since she has been at Nolan.
Mrs. Leary has a B.S. in Psychology & Sociology and a M.Ed.
Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from the University
of South Carolina. She obtained her teaching certification from
Brenau University. She was Paraprofessional of the Year at Dug Gap
Elementary (1998-1999) and Teacher of the Year at Valley Point Elementary
(2002-2003). Mrs. Leary is a member of Kappa Delta Pi. She is married
and has two daughters.

| Cindy
Wilkerson has taught school for more than 26 years. She enjoys meeting
and watching a new class grow each new school year. She has been
honored at Teacher of the Year 1999-2000, a well deserved acccomplishment
and a wonderful asset to Nolan Elementary. She can be reached at

Born
and raised in New York City, Diane Huseman comes to Nolan with 11
years of teaching experience. Mrs. Huseman received her BA and MS
in Elementary Education from Queens College in NYC. She was a member
of Kappa Delta Pi and received the Education Award. She lives on
Signal Mountain with her Grammy award winning husband, Michael and
her two boys. Diane and her family moved to Signal Mountain from
Franklin, TN in June 2007 and they consider this move as one of
the best changes in their lives.
