MUSIC TEACHER
Music teacher, Rebecca Clark, grew up in Knoxville, the oldest daughter
of a Methodist pastor. She and her three sisters formed a vocal
quartet when they were children, and they often accompanied their
father to revivals, singing the special music before his sermon.
Ms. Clark directed church choirs during her college years, receiving
a bachelor's degree in voice from UTK and a master's degree from
Georgia State University in Atlanta. Later, she taught Kindermusik
at UTC, where she gained valuable insights into early childhood
learning. She began teaching at Nolan in 2000.
Today, her 15-year old daughter carries on the family music tradition
as a musical theatre major at Center for Creative Arts. Her husband,
Stephen, is the Stand for Children coordinator for Chattanooga.
