Mr. Barker is a 32 year veteran of the Hamilton County School System and
has spent more than 20 years in administration.

FIFTH GRADE TEACHERS

Sandra
Fain has a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The
College of William and Mary. She taught in Virginia schools for
many years before moving to Tennessee. Mrs. Fain teaches fifth grade
English, writing, and math. She and her husband have three daughters,
one son, and seven grandchildren.

Mosley has a Bachlor's Degree in Education from Lee University.
She attended Hamilton County Schools graduating from Soddy Daisy
High School. Mrs. Mosley teaches fifth grade social studies and
math. She and her husband have one son.

| Deborah
Colen has a Master's Degree in Guidance with Certification in Elementary
Education from UTC. She began teaching at Thrasher Elementary and
has been at Nolan since it opened. Mrs. Colen teaches fifth grade
reading and math. She and her husband have three children who attend
Hamilton County Schools and a grown son who lives in Knoxville.

Wendy Lapinski has a Bachelor’s Degree
in Elementary Education from John Carroll University in Ohio. She
has taught for 7 years in Ohio. She and her family, including two
daughters, relocated to Signal Mountain a year ago. Mrs. Lapinski
is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology.
She is replacing Ms. DeMott as the fifth grade Science and Math
teacher.
